serving our local veterans & community |
LeBaron Post 237, the American Legion, Chartered on August 27, 1919, is a memorial post named after Private Lynn L. LeBaron, A.E.F. who was killed in action on October 9, 1919 during the Meuse-Argonne offensive in the Argonne Forest, France. LeBaron Post 237 is considered a centennial post as we were chartered shortly after the American Legion was founded in Paris, France at its first caucus March 15-17, 1919. There will be a massive nation-wide celebration in 2019 as American Legions around the world will celebrate.
Our American Legion has been a leader in community affairs since its founding in 1919. We are involved in all phases of local affairs; to include children and youth programs, police and fire department support and patrons of church and senior relief programs. We provide a wide range of hospital equipment, at no cost, to all who request this service.
Our major mission, of course, is to serve and support veterans and their families. We are always looking for new membership - so if you are not a Legion member and you served honorably in the United States military - check us out! Membership in American Legion Auxiliary, Sons of the American Legion, American Legion Riders and Social membership are also available - for God and Country we associate ourselves together.
